MEET YOUR DOCTOR
DR. NICOLETTE ZAWILINSKI
When Nicolette isn’t in the examination room checking your eyes, she is most likely honing her vision for LUX Eye Care which she founded in 2016.
Nicolette received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Michigan College of Optometry where she gained extensive training in the areas of ocular disease, specialty contact lens fittings, pediatric eye care, and low vision rehabilitation.
Nicolette’s favorite lines are SALT and Etnia Barcelona. Her favorite things to do outside LUX are design, world exploration, running, golf, tennis, and of course spending time with her wonderful husband, Kellen, and sweet chihuahua Dakota. The best local independent businesses, according to Nicolette, are New Zealand Sushi and GrapeVine.

LUX is a locally owned full-service optometry office located in Matthews, NC. Our primary focus is to provide you with a large selection of unique, high quality eyewear backed by exceptional customer service.
Inspired by Dr. Zawilinski's love for world exploration, LUX was designed to bring the world's best eyewear to your front door. Inspiration for the optical's design came from the clean, crisp white architecture of Greece. Frame lines were handpicked and collected by Dr. Zawilinski throughout her European travels.
